20 at 20 is an annual Off-Broadway promotion that features $20 tickets available at the theater box offices 20 minutes before curtain time. And to keep with the “20” theme, the promotion runs for 20 days, September 14th – October 4th, 2015.
Ticket availability varies by show and by date. It’s a bit of a gamble to show up 20 minutes ahead of curtain time and hope for a $20 ticket, but that’s part of the fun. You might want to have a back-up plan and another show nearby in case your first pick is sold-out.
There’s a one ticket per person limit, so everyone going to the show needs to wait in the line and buy their ticket. It’s possible that you won’t be able to get tickets sitting next to each other.
And here’s a FAQ about how 20@20 works.
