Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to experience New York City dining at a special price.  Restaurant Week runs from February 17 to March 7, 2014 (If you’re wondering why they call three weeks a week, so am I, but that’s just the way it is).  There are about 300 restaurants participating in the 2014 event and each features special three-course dining menus priced at $25 for lunch and $38 for dinner.

Information about participating restaurants and menus is available at the Restaurant Week web page.  Reservations are made from that site also. The reservations are handled through OpenTable, which has their own Restaurant Week page (easier to access when the one linked through NYCGO is busy).

If you have an American Express card, you can save a little extra with a special promotion they’re running.  Register your card, then use then charge $25 on Restaurant Week dining, February 17 – March 7th, and you’ll receive a $5 statement credit on your account.  Information on how to register your American Express card is available on the Restaurant Week website.

There’s #NYCRestaurantWeek photo contest running on Instagram too.  A prize of $500 in gift cards for select NYC restaurants is being given away each week for the three weeks of Restaurant Week.  More info about the photo contest is available at the Restaurant Week web page.
