Discounts
Wicked Digital Lottery: A limited number of tickets are available through the Wicked digital lottery. Tickets are $35 each, including the facility fee. Winners will be notified by email shortly after each drawing and will have 60 minutes to pay for their tickets with a credit card online. Tickets can be picked up at the Gershwin Theatre box office 30 minutes prior to show time. Photo ID is required for pickup. Seat locations awarded are subject to availability. In-Person Lottery: A day-of-performance lottery for 26 select orchestra seats for $30.00 each will be held daily. Each day, 2 ½ hours prior to show time, people who present themselves at the Gershwin Theatre box office will have their names placed in a hat, and 30 minutes later, names will be drawn for 26 orchestra seats at $30.00 each. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person, cash only. Photo-ID required. Participants may enter their names ONE TIME ONLY PER PERFORMANCE; anyone who is discovered to have multiple entries will be disqualified and tickets will be revoked.
TKTS Booths: According to the TDF website, Wicked tickets are never available at the TKTS booths.
There are four TKTS booths in New York City that sell in-person, same day, discount theater tickets. The TKTS booths are operated by the Theatre Development Fund, a non-profit dedicated to sustaining and sharing the arts and developing audiences for the future. When you buy from the TKTS booths, you’re getting a deal on tickets and helping support the TDF. The tickets they sell are up to 50% off the regular prices. They charge a $5.00 service fee. TodayTix: TodayTix is a mobile app that provides access to discounted theater tickets. Tickets are available for same-day shows or performances up to a week in advance. The latest ticket price information is available on the app. Discount tickets to An American in Paris are regularly available through the TodayTix app. See current prices. Student Tickets: The availability of student tickets for Wicked varies. During certain times of the year, there are $69 tickets available to students at the box office – limit 2 per customer, with valid college ID. From August 2 – 31,there may be student tickets available for Tuesday – Thursday performances. Student tickets are not guaranteed for any performance and are subject to performance availability. Reseller Tickets – Although ticket resellers generally aren’t the best place to shop for bargains, you can sometimes find a good deal on last-minute tickets. People holding tickets may be eager to unload them when the date of the show is approaching. Check TicketLiquidator for current reseller prices.
