  • Gettin’ the Band Back Together Digital Lottery

    There is now a digital lottery available for $39.50 tickets (Monday through Thursday) or $45 tickets (Friday – Sunday) to Gettin’ the Band Back Together on Broadway.

    The lottery begins each day at midnight for that day’s performance and closes at 2:00 p.m. for evening shows and 9:00 a.m. for matinees. Winners will be notified shortly after the lottery closes and will be able to purchase up to two tickets by 11:00 a.m. for matinee performances and 4:00 p.m. for evening performances. Winner notification is by email, or text message if you choose.

    One of the newer introductions to the Broadway landscape has been the digital lottery. At one time, participating in a lottery for a Broadway show meant going to the box office in person, filling out a lottery slip, and waiting for someone to draw names. Now, most shows that offer lotteries have moved them to a digital format, making it easy for anyone with internet access to enter online.

    Ticket lotteries are usually not for free tickets, although occasionally special event lotteries that do provide free tix. Most Broadway lotteries give the lottery winners the opportunity to purchase a limited number of tickets at a deeply discounted price.

    We’ve provided you with a list of digital lotteries for currents shows below.

    Aladdin: A limited number of $30 tickets will be available via a daily online lottery.

    How to Enter: The lottery opens for entries at 7:00 p.m. on the day before the performance and closes at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the performance. If you are selected as a winner, you will have 60 minutes to pay for your tickets via credit card. There’s a limit of two tickets per lottery winner. Seat locations are assigned based on availability and at the discretion of the Box Office. Please note, lottery seats may be partial view. Lottery tickets cannot be transferred to other people or to other performances.     Anastasia:  A limited number of $42 tickets to Anastasia are available through the show’s online lottery.

    How to Enter: Visit the Anastasia lottery webpage to enter. You’ll need a social media account (Facebook, Twitter, or Linkedin) to enter the lottery. Available performances will be posted by 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time daily (just after midnight). Matinee lotteries close at 9:00 a.m. and evening lotteries close at 2:00 p.m.. Lottery ticket seats may be located in the orchestra or mezzanine and may have a partial view of the stage, and winners might not be able to purchase seats located next to each other. You will receive notification of your lottery status via email or text by 9:05 AM for matinees and 2:05 PM for evening performances. Winners must complete their purchase by 11:00 AM for matinees and by 4:00 PM for evening performances. A limited number of tickets for the performance will be sold to winners of a random lottery drawing. Winning tickets are $30 and limited to 2 per winner. Entries for the lottery for each performance will be accepted until 11:00 AM ET the day before the performance.   • Special Free 20th Anniversary Performance of The Lion King – In Person Lottery Entries

    The Broadway production of The Lion King is celebrating their 20th Anniversary with a special free performance Wednesday, November 15th at 8:00 p.m.. at the Minskoff Theatre

    Tickets for the show will be give away via a special lottery. You must enter the lottery in person on November 12th at the Lion King Times Square Celebration, or one of the other special lottery locations.

    In addition to the lottery, the Times Square celebration will have photo ops, meet & greet with cast members, give-aways, a virtual reality experience, and instructor led drum circles.

    The Lion King 20th Anniversary Lottery Locations. All are for Sunday, November 12th.: 

    You must be 18 years or older to enter.  Limit one entry per person. Duplicate entries will disqualify all entries.

    Winners will be able to select either one or two tickets.

    Winners will be chosen at random and notified by Broadway Direct on Monday, November 13, 2017. Winner notification via email will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

    Preview performances of Scott McMpherson’s new comedy, Marvin’s Room, began June 8th.

    Marvin’s Room is a new Broadway production starring Janeane Garofalo, Lili Taylor, and Celia Weston. The show is a Roundabout Theatre Company production and is playing at the American Airlines Theatre.

    1984, the new stage adaptation of the classic novel by George Orwell, is playing on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre.

    A limited number of $19.84 front row tickets are available through a daily digital lottery.

    Les Miserables has joined the ranks of Broadway shows offering a digital lottery.

    There will be a daily digital lottery for a limited number of tickets priced $37.  Winners may purchase up to two tickets at $37 each. Entries for matinees must be submitted by 11:00 a.m. Entries for evening performances must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. Winners will be notified via email or text message.

    The digital lottery requires you to log in with either twitter, facebook, or linkedin.
