Long lines have formed daily at the Hamilton box office at the Richard Rogers Theater as fans try to score cheap tickets to the hit musical through the Ham4Ham $10 ticket lottery . Even bigger crowds have been showing up on matinee days as the show’s creator and star, Lin-Manuel Miranda started doing concert performances to entertain those waiting in line. However, the box office lottery and matinee day outdoor concerts have now been suspended for the winter months. You may still be able to get $10 tickets to Hamilton, but you’ll need to try your luck with the show’s new digital lottery.

The Hamilton digital lottery was scheduled to open today, January 5th, but the system seems to have crashed. Miranda tweeted that the problem is being worked on.

The url for the Hamilton Lottery, once everything is fixed and running, is https://lottery.broadwaydirect.com/show/hamilton/

The entry period for each day’s lottery begins at 9:30 am and ends at 11:00 a.m. for matinees and 4:00 p.m. for evening shows. There is a limit of one entry per person, and entrant can request up to two tickets. Winners will be notified by email shortly after the entry period ends and will be provided with a link for purchasing their tickets online.  Twenty-one front row tickets are available for each lottery.

Miranda has said that the in-person lottery and matinee day concerts will resume at some point in the spring.
