The Today Show hosts a series of free outdoor concerts during the summer months. Concerts are held at Rockefeller Plaza, outside Today’s studio at 48th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues. The on-air performances take place at 8:00 a.m. Some performers play for the audience before the 8:00 a.m. start. The performances usually end by 9:00 a.m.
General admission entry for the concerts is usually between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. (it varies by concert). There are also a limited number of fan passes available through a lottery.
