The Union Square Greenmarket takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, and Saturdays, year around.

Greenmarket vendors sell a variety of goods and produce, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, jams, pickles, cut flowers and plants, wine, ciders, maple syrup, and more.

Participating vendors vary by date. The Saturday markets are usually the largest. The number of vendors and variety of items available for sale is greatest during the growing season.  See a list of vendors scheduled to attend the next market.

Market Events

The market features free weekly cooking demonstrations by the Natural Gourmet Institute April – November.

Book signings take place on Saturdays, June through November.

Location

The market is held in Union Square Park, along the park’s north and west borders, at the intersection of Broadway and E 17th Street.
