The Mostly Mozart Festival is held each summer at Lincoln Center. The 2014 festival dates are July 25 – August 23.
The festival features concerts by the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, the International Contemporary Ensemble, and others, plus dance performances by the Mark Morris Dance Group. Most of the music is Mozart’s but pieces by a few other composers are included also (thus, Mostly Mozart).
There’s a free preview concert by the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra on July 26th. Tickets for this concert will be available on a first-come-first-served basis from the Avery Fisher Hall Box Office on July 26th, starting at 10:00 a.m.. There’s a limit of two tickets per person. If you don’t want to wait in line for tickets to the free concert, Goldstar has discount tickets for the Festival Orchestra’s performances on August 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15 & 16. The Goldstar tickets are $32.50 + $7.00 in fees for a total price of $39.50. Regular full-price is $65.00.
If you’re in the city, check the Zucker Box Office at Lincoln Center’s David Rubenstein Atrium for discount ticket availability. The Zuker box office sells discount tickets (subject to availability) Tuesday – Saturday. Tickets are usually for that week’s performances.
