  • Winter Broadway Week 2014: 2 for 1 Show Tickets

    It’s almost time for the semi-annual Broadway Week to begin again. The Winter 2014 Broadway Week will take place January 21st – February 6th.

    Two-for-one tickets will go on sale beginning January 6th at 10:30 am.  Tickets can be purchased at the Broadway Week website at www.nycgo.com/broadwayweek.

    Twenty-six shows are participating in Broadway Week with 2-for-1 ticket deals, including: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, A Night with Janis Joplin, After Midnight, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Bridges of Madison County, Bronx Bombers, Chicago, Cinderella, The Glass Menagerie, Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, The Lion King, Machinal, Mamma Mia!, Matilda, Motown, Newsies, No Man’s Land, Once, Outside Mullingar, The Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Rock of Ages, Twelfth Night, Waiting for Godot, and Wicked.  Two-for-one tickets are subject to availability and blackout dates may apply.

    Broadway Week actually lasts a little over two weeks. Remember that the Super Bowl is February 2nd at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. That’s likely to bring a lot of people to NYC and hotel rates will probably go up right around that date. If you want to take advantage of the theater ticket savings and find good deals on hotels, it may be best to plan your trip for either the beginning or end of the January 21 – February 6 stretch.  Search for hotels.

     

  • The Bridges of Madison County is Coming to Broadway in January – Discount Tix


    The popular novel and movie, The Bridges of Madison County is now a musical, and it arrives on Broadway in January.

    Based on the novel by Robert James Waller, the show’s book is by Marsha Norman and music and lyrics are by Jason Robert Brown.  Bartlett Sher directs.  The cast stars Kellie O’Hara and Steven Pasquale.

  • Mary-Louise Parker on Broadway in "The Snow Geese" – Discount

    See Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Mary-Louise Parker in the new Broadway Play, “The Snow Geese.”   But you need to act fast, because the show’s limited engagement ends December 14th.

    Goldstar has discount tickets priced at $45.50 – $63.50.

  • Discount Tickets to Jersey Boys


    Playbill.com has exclusive deals for Wednesday night 7:00 performances to Jersey Boys, July 31 through December 18, 2013.  To get the deal code, go to the playbill.com website and sign up for their “playbill club.”  It’s free to sign up. Then you’ll have access to the special discount codes for Jersey Boys, plus discounts for many other Broadway Shows.

    The Wednesday night Jersey Boys ticket offer from Playbill is good for two Orchestra or Mezzanine section seats for $150.  (These tickets are normally $254 for two).  Sign up for the Playbill Club to get the deal code.

    Best of New York has discount Jersey Boy tickets also, but the discount’s not as good as the Playbill Wednesday night deal.  They do have tickets for a wide variety of dates, though.  Jersey Boys tickets at Best of New York.

    Broadwaybox.com also usually has information on some discount ticket offers.

    Regular price Jersey Boys tickets are available from Telecharge.  (Regular price tickets range from $47 to $152 and “premium” tickets are more. The $47 tickets are seats with a partially obstructed view).

    Update (12/13/13): Now you don’t need to worry about bad weather ruining your plans to see the show.  The Broadway production of “Jersey Boys” has announced a “winter weather guarantee.” Tickets for performances from January 2 – March 30, 2014 can be exchanged for any other performance currently on sale.  See details.
