  • New Digital Lottery for Jersey Boys Tickets

    The hit Broadway show, “Jersey Boys” is the latest entry into the world of digital lotteries.

    The show recently announced that they are now conducting daily digital lotteries for same-day $27 tickets.  Everyone is notified whether they’ve won or lost three hours prior to show time

    To enter the lottery drawing, just go to the online entry page, supply your information, and specify whether you want one or two tickets. If you win, you’ll purchase your $27 tickets at the August Wilson Theatre box office. You’ll need to show a photo ID that matches the name on the lottery entry.  You need to pick up your tickets at least 30 minutes before showtime.

  • BroadwayBox’s New Ticket Lottery

    Broadway theater website BroadwayBox.com has just announced their new BroadwayBox digital lottery.

    They will offer two free tickets each weekday.  The show featured in the lottery will vary daily.

    Visit the BroadwayBox Lottery web page to enter by 3:00 p.m.. You can enter once per day.

    The day’s winner will be contact shortly after the 3:00 lottery closing. The winner can pick up their tickets at the BroadwayBox offices in Times Square.

  • 2015 Broadway Week Dates Announced


    Broadway Week, with 2 for 1 tickets to Broadway shows, returns September 7th – 20th, 2015. The two-for-1 tickets go on sale beginning August 19th at 10:30 a.m. Tickets can be ordered online through the NYCgo.com website.

    It looks like all the current shows are participating. This is an excellent opportunity for savings on hit shows that don’t usually offer discounts.

    This year’s participating shows include: Aladdin, Amazing Grace, An American in Paris, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Chicago, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Finding Neverland, Fun Home, A Gentelman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Hand to God, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Jersey Boys, The King and I, Kinky Boots, Les Miserables, The Lion KIng, Matilda the Musical, Old Times, On the Town, The Phantom of the Opera, Something Rotten!, Spring Awakening, and Wicked.

  • 2015 Free Broadway Performances at Bryant Park

    The 2015 season of free summertime Broadway performances at New York City’s Bryant Park begins July 9th with the casts of STOMP, Wicked, It Shoulda Been You, and Fuerza Bruta.

    Each summer, cast members from current Broadway shows take to the stage for this free series of concerts held on Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.  The stage is set up on the Bryant Park lawn. It’s a great way to enjoy highlights from current shows and to enjoy a visit to Bryant Park.

    The 2015 Broadway in Bryan Park concerts are July 9th, July 16, July 23, July 30, and August 1.

  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch – Discount Tickets

    Hedwig and the Angry Inch is playing at the Belasco Theatre on Broadway.  Hedwig won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival.

    Darren Criss of “Glee” is currently in the starring role and is scheduled to stay on through July 19, 2015.  Taye Diggs will take on the role of Hedwig beginning July 22nd.

    Full price tickets prices range from $49 to $162.  The $49 seats are toward the back of the balcony section.

    Discount Tickets: LivingSocial has discount tickets available for performances in May, June and July. The discounted tickets are $64 & $75 for Mezzanine seats and $109 for Orchestra seats.

    Goldstar Discount: Goldstar has discount tickets for select June and July performances, priced from $49 to $99.  See the Goldstar ticket offer.  (If you’re asked to sign in, you can register quickly by providing an email address and zip code).

    Telecharge Discount: Telecharge has discount tickets for performances through June 7th priced at $49 – $69 for the Mezzanine section and $89 for the Orchestra section.

    Promo Code: Broadway Box has a promo code for discounts on performances through July 18th with Mezzanine and Balcony tickets for $49 and select Orchestra and Front Mezzanine tickets for $89.

    Rush Ticket Lottery: A minimum of 20 tickets will be sold by lottery for each performance on the day of the performance. Beginning two and half hours prior to each show, lottery entries will be taken at the Belasco Theatre box office. When entering the lottery, you can specify if you want to purchase one or two tickets.  Winners will be drawn two hours before the performance. Each lottery winner can purchase their tickets for $37 each.  Seat locations may be partial view. See details.

    Standing Room Tickets: On days when the performance is sold-out, standing room tickets will be available at the Belasco Theatre box office for $29.00 beginning 45  minutes prior to curtain.  Standing room tickets are only available for sold-out performances.

    The Belasco Theatre is located at 111 West 44th Street (Between Broadway and 6th Avenue).  Hotels closest to the Belasco Theatre.

  • Discount Tickets for New Broadway Musical “Amazing Grace”

    Amazing Grace” begins preview performances on Broadway June 25, 2015 at the Nederlander Theater.  The musical takes place in the 1700s and is based on the story behind the “Amazing Grace” song we all know today. The show had a successful run in Chicago before moving to Broadway.

    The “Amazing Grace” cast includes Josh Young, Erin Makey, Tom Hewitt, Chuck Cooper, Chris Hoch, Stonley Bahorek, Harriett D. Foy, Laiona Michelle, Rachel Ferrera, and Elizabeth Ward Land.

  • Mobile Lottery for Fun Home on Broadway

    The new Broadway musical, Fun Home just won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical! With all the attention a Best Musical Tony Award brings, deals on this show may be hard to come by.

    One option is to enter the Fun Home digital lottery for $32 tickets. The lottery is for day-of-performance tickets. Winners will be notified three to four hours before show time and tickets can be picked up and paid for at the theater box office (no later than 15 minutes before showtime).

    The lottery is being run by TodayTix and you’ll need their app for mobile entries. There’s also an option for entering by mail.

    Other discount sources for Fun Home include a promo code at Broadwaybox.com good for discounts through July 12, and NewYork.com is advertising a discount of $30+.   For students, discount tickets are available for advance purchase online at TIX4STUDENTS.

    Fun Home is playing at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W 50th Street). The show is based on the graphic memoir by Alisson Bechdel. Music is by Jeanine Tesori, books and lyrics by Lisa Kron. Sam Gold is the director. Cast includes Michael Cerveris and Judy Kuhn.
