  • Free Concerts: Lowdown Hudson Music Festival

    Lowdown Hudson Music Fest

    Each year, Arts Brookfield presents the Lowdown Hudson Music Fest, a free summer music festival at Brookfield Place. The event takes place over two days, with concerts held on the Brookfield Place waterfront plaza.

    The event is free to attend. Admission is on a first come, first served basis.

    Dates for the 2017 event are Tuesday, July 18th and Wednesday, July 19th.

    Brookfield place has lots of places where you can get something to eat, and terrace and waterfront plaza bars sell beer and wine.

     

    2017 Performers

    The 2017 Headliner for Tuesday, July 18th is award-winning rapper, actor, producer, and poet Common. Flint Eastwood opens the Wednesday, July 19th show and OK GO is the main act.

    For both performances, doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the show starts at 6:00 p.m..

  • Waves of Tradition Festival at Brookfield Place

    Free World Music and Dance at Brookfield Place

    Waves of Tradition is a curated week-long (May 1 – 5, 2017) celebration of New York City and the waves of immigrant cultures that make up its rich history.

    Each day focuses on a different part of the world: West Africa, Japan, Ireland, the Middle East, and Latin America.  Artists will tell their stories through music and dance each afternoon and evening, with a culminating Friday night concert.

    The events take place a Brookfield Place (230 Vesey Street, near the World Trade Center), and are free to attend. Performances are at 12:30 p.m. & 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 12:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
