  • The New C3 New York CityPass

    New York CityPass[spacer height=”20px”]

The New York CityPass has long been a popular attraction pass with NYC tourists. Anyone who has visited New York City has seen people with the CityPass booklets in hand at the city’s most popular attractions.

One drawback of the CityPass, though is the price. At $122 per adult ($98 for youths), the pass is a pretty big hit on a budget traveler’s budget. The $122 price tag isn’t a bad deal if you’re going to six of the included attractions

Other ways to save money: It should be noted that there are other ways to obtain reduced admission to some of the included attractions. Both the American Museum of Natural History and The Metropolitan Museum of Art operate on a suggested admission policy, with suggested admissions of $22 and $25 respectively (you can opt to pay less at either). There are pay-what-you-wish admission hours at the Guggenheim (although those discounted hours can be very crowded).  Circle Line often offers discounts on their cruises. And although there is a $26 admission fee for the 9/11 Museum, it is free to visit the 9/11 Memorial. However, there are some advantages to the CityPass that go beyond price savings.

But skipping the lines is a great benefit! One of the primary benefits of the CityPass, beyond cost savings, is the ability to skip the ticket lines. One of the first things you will notice when visiting New York City during the busy tourism season is long lines of people outside the major attractions. No one likes to wait in line, and when you’re visiting New York City, there are much better ways to spend your time. Many attractions have special lines for CityPass and C3 Pass holders, allowing you to avoid the wait.[spacer height=”20px”]

The New C3 CityPass – Pay Less & Pick Any Three Attractions[spacer height=”20px”]

The ability to skip the lines and focus on three of the attractions with the greatest savings is where the new C3 CityPass shines.

The C3 CityPass costs $74 for adults and $54 for children and allows you to pick any three of the included attractions.

You’ll save the most if you use the pass for the most expensive attractions and the ones that seldom have discounts available, such as the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, and the Guggenheim Museum.

Some combinations could actually end up costing you more than paying admission separately, so be careful with your choices if you goal is to save money. [spacer height=”20px”]

    C3 Attraction Options[spacer height=”20px”]

Here’s a list of the available attraction options and their regular admission prices.

An example 3 attraction combination is Top of the Rock, the Intrepid Sea,Air & Space Museum, and the Guggenheim for a $18 savings over the regular full price of $92.
