Museums in New York City

Money-Saving While Enjoying New York City's Many Excellent Museums

New York City has a wealth of excellent museums to appeal to all interests. The city is home to a world-class collection of art museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Arts, and the Musum of Modern Arts. History and cultural museums are also well represented with the American Museum of Natural History, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum (which is on an aircraft carrier!), and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum.

For some more unusual museum visits, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Madam Tussauds Wax Museum, and the Discovery Museum all provide interesting and entertaining exhibits in the Times Square area.

Most of these museums charge an admission fee. If you plan on visiting several museum, one of the NYC Attractions Passes could save you money. Also, check out the posts below for featured discounts on museum admissions.
